Brookline Post Office Audit Reveals Operational Issues: Report
The United States Postal Service discovered numerous issues after evaluating the location.
BROOKLINE, MA — The United States Postal Service determined that the Coolidge Corner Post Office had “significant” problems with its performance after conducting an audit, according to a report from Brookline News.
The USPS’s Inspector General visited the Beacon Street location periodically between September and December, and described "deficiencies” in all areas of criterion. The report cited nearly 8,000 pieces of mail had been delayed, and more than 700 packages had been improperly categorized in the USPS’s database as delivered when they had in fact not yet left the location. Another transgression involved 55 keys to the building that were not properly documented.
