Brookline Resident Charged With Child Pornography Production
The man conducted multiple inappropriate online conversations with minor for multiple years.
BROOKLINE, MA — A resident has been charged with production of child pornography, according to the United States Attorney’s Office.
24-year-old Scott Cunha was arrested at his home Thursday for attempting to solicit pornographic images and videos from a 15-year old. He has reportedly used the social media platform Snapchat to have sexually-charged conversations with multiple children between the ages of 10 to 16 since 2022. He proposed an exchange of nude photos and videos as well as sexual rendezvous in exchange for money to children in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Indiana, Michigan, and Missouri. According to the charging document, Cunha has met with at least one victim in the past.
Cunha is slated to appear in federal court in Boston on Friday at 12 p.m. The charge of production of child pornography includes a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison, followed by a minimum of five years supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000. The maximum possible punishment for the charge is a lifetime sentence.
