Brookline Resident Makes Daring Frozen Pond Rescue: Report
Jake Abramowitz helped coworkers when they fell through the ice of a frozen pond.
BROOKLINE, MA — Resident Jake Abramowitz conducted a daring rescue when two of his coworkers fell through the ice of the pond at Acton’s Nara Park, according to a report from 7 News Boston.
The 23 year-old was working as a makeup artist on a low-budget movie production that was filming at that location, when two crew members were suddenly up to their necks in freezing water far from the pond’s shore. Along with coworker Theo Endreny, Abramowitz rescued his peers after a 10-minute process. The Acton Fire Department responded on scene and facilitated the transport to the hospital.
