Brookline Resident Takes A Two-wheeled World Tour: Report
The worldwide trip three years to complete.
BROOKLINE, MA — A resident has recently returned from an international trip in which he saddled up on his bicycle to explore a variety of places, according to a report from 7 News Boston.
Samer Abouhamad left his home in 2022, only to return three years later having biked more than 46,000 miles through six continents. Abouhamad was inspired to begin his quest after experiencing severe "cabin fever" during the COVID-19 pandemic. His itinerary included time in Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia before ending in the country of Lebanon. According to Abouhamad, he survived solely on a tent, tools, food, water, and the "kindness of strangers."
He emphasized that every person is capable of incredible things, and he wants others to take that away from his adventure.
