BROOKLINE, MA — Brookline Town Meeting continued Tuesday, Night 3 of the annual meeting, with a report on how the formal bidding went to acquire the Newbury College property. The short answer? Not well. Brookline was not the highest bidder, nor was it the accepted bid. And with that information, the elected representatives were on to discuss a number of changes to bylaws.

During the second night of Town Meeting, Brookline became the first municipality in the country to require all public bathrooms are supplied with tampons and pads, and on Night 1 it voted to continue working on the Driscoll School renovation, so what could they possibly have left to discuss?

Night 3 the town voted to enforce leash laws for dogs, especially at Brookline's Green Dog Parks and to ban the sale of flavored tobacco products, including menthol-flavored products. Read more >> Brookline Bans Sale Of Flavored Tobacco
