Brookline's Top 5 Fastest Women And Men: Boston Marathon Results
Wondering who ran Boston the fastest from Brookline in 2019?
BROOKLINE, MA — There were a heck of a lot of residents signed up to run the 26.2 miles of the Boston Marathon. But how'd they do in this crazy weather? They're all heroes in our book, but the top finishers deserve a little extra recognition.
Amanda Nurse, 31, gets distinction of being Brookline's fastest Boston Marathoner for 2019. The mother of a toddler ran the race in 2:42:30. That's a pace of about 6:12 per mile. For 26.2 miles. Just let that soak in a bit. This was Nurse's 20th marathon and eighth Boston. Oh, and she's qualified for the Olympics. Her personal best is a 2 hour 40 minute marathon.
The fastest man was Matthew Salminen, 29, with a time of 2:42:42. His pace per mile was 6:13. Again - let that sink in he ran that fast for 26.2 miles. He's run at least 10 marathons and has a personal best of 2 hours 40 minutes and 05 seconds.

View this post on InstagramBoston Marathon: 2:42:30There’s nothing like Boston. The crowds, the love and support, the challenging course, all the feels as you venture from Hopkinton to Boston. I’ve done it 8 times now and it never gets old. I got the chance to run in the elite field for the first time today, and boy, did I soak it all in. I had fun from start to finish. I was worried about running solo, and I barely did! I ran with friends, met new ones, and had so much fun slapping high fives at 18 (@novemberproject) and 20 (@heartbreakersrun). It may not have been the 2:39 I hoped for, but my heart is full, my legs are tired, and I left it all out there. Super happy and grateful right now. : @jwlevitt
