Charges Dropped Against 2 People In Brookline Shooting: Report

Four people were originally arrested related to the incident.

BROOKLINE, MA — Two people arrested in a January shooting are no longer facing charges, according to a report from Brookline News.

18-year-olds Thomas May and Guilherme Leal De Britto Pereira were both charged with being accessories in a drive-by shooting that took place on New Terrace Road on Jan. 11. Two juveniles were charged as the main suspects of the incident.

The charges against both May and Pereira have been dropped by the prosecution after their attorneys successfully argued that there was insufficient evidence to suggest either was involved in the crime, despite being in the vehicle at the time of the shooting.
