Coolidge Corner Theatre To Premier 'All The Lonely People'
The new documentary, from the filmmakers of Gen Silent, shows loneliness and social isolation challenges and solutions.
BROOKLINE, MA — Coolidge Corner Theatre is a hosting a special advance screening of “All the Lonely People,” a new social impact film, on Thursday, December 9 at 6 p.m.
The documentary, from the filmmakers of Gen Silent, shows loneliness and social isolation challenges and solutions. Through a range of personal stories, Director Stu Maddux and Producer Joe Applebaum explore the unique solutions and programs that are helping to reduce isolation and build community.
“Social isolation is a danger to health, comparable to the risks of smoking, high blood pressure and obesity and can affect everybody,” said Maddux in a statement. "COVID-19 increased the epidemic of social isolation and loneliness worldwide. Luckily there are solutions as we demonstrate in our film.”

In addition to the virtual and in-person screening, the event will include a Q & A with Maddux and Applebaum. and a private reception exclusively for sponsors and VIP ticket holders will follow the screening.
The special advance screening of “All the Lonely People” is hosted by multiple local organizations, including ETHOS, AARP MA, Sherrill House, Brookline Senior Center, Center Communities of Brookline, FriendshipWorks, Goddard House, 2Life Communities, Good Shepherd Community Care, LGBTQIA+ Aging Project, and many others.
