Discolored Water Possible After Brookline Water Main Break

BROOKLINE, MA — Brookline residents may see discolored water Tuesday after a water main break Monday night, officials warned.
The Brookline Public Works Department said crews responded to an issue overnight on Griggs Terrace in town.
While the break has been repaired, officials said residents in the area may still see discolored water as a result.

Anyone with discolored water should be able to clear their pipes by running cold water on a trickle for between five and 10 minutes, as noted by the Public Works Department.

The recent water main break in the area came a matter of days after a separate break on Chestnut Street in Brookline on Thursday.
