FBI, Police Seek Man In VFW Pkwy Bank Robbery
Law enforcement responded Tuesday after reports that someone robbed a Citizens Bank location near the Brookline/Boston border.

BROOKLINE, MA — Authorities this week shared photos of a man potentially linked to a robbery at a Citizens Bank near the Boston/Brookline border off VFW Parkway in West Roxbury.
Police said they responded to the robbery at a Citizens Bank at 673 VFW Pkwy. at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday.
Brookline Police initially described a suspect in the case as a thin man standing approximately 5’8”. Police said he was wearing dark clothing and a ski mask.

Police Lieutenant David Hill later told Patch the man ran off after the incident headed toward the area of Farmington Road in West Roxbury.

Mass Most Wanted, which works to help identify suspects in various criminal cases, shared photos connected to this week’s robbery in Brookline on Wednesday.
Mass Most Wanted is funded by the Massachusetts Bankers Association. It provided an updated description for the suspect, now identifying him as a thin man with light complexion and a small build, standing 5’5”. The organization said the man spoke with an “Eastern European type accent.”
Mass Most Wanted directed anyone with information on the case to call the FBI’s Violent Crime Task Force at 781-751-9312.
