Fire On Beacon Street, Prompts Road Closure Near Coolidge Corner
After fire broke out on the first floor of a building at 1470 Beacon St, cars were being rerouted at Summit Avenue, according to officials.

BROOKLINE, MA — Beacon Street westbound was shut down as Brookline Firefighters worked to put out a fire on the first floor of an apartment building around 4:30 p.m.
It's unclear if there were any injuries.
As of 5 p.m. the fire was put out but cars were still being rerouted, according to early police and fire scanner radio.
