Here are five things you need to know about today.

1. Weather: The National Weather Service predicts a rainy day with a chance of thunderstorms before 11 a.m. and a high near 71. Showers will continue into the evening with a low of 46.
2. Boylston Place Art Matters on Impressionism: EPOCH Assisted Living at Boylston Place, 615 Heath St., will host art awareness and education program Art Matters for a discussion on Impressionism and the artists that made this style famous on Tuesday, April 9 at 2 p.m. This event is free, but space is limited.
3. Girl Scouts Family Information Night: Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts is hosting Family Information Nights throughout Brookline, families are invited to attend any of these events to find out more about Girl Scouting in Brookline at 7 p.m. at the Lincoln School.
