Five Things, March 13: Veterans Job Fair
Here are five things going on in and around town today.

1. Weather: The National Weather Service predicts a sunny day with a high near 53. There’s a chance of rain between midnight at 2 a.m. with a chance of snow afterwards and a low of 32.
2. Heroes for Hire Job Fair: This job fair opens at 10 a.m. for veterans, 11 a.m. for the public.
3. U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum Film Screening: Two Who Dared: The Sharps’ War: The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Boston Next Generation Society hosts a screening of Two Who Dared: The Sharps’ War (twowhodared.com) followed by a panel discussion with Artemis Joukowsky III, the director of the film and a grandson of Waitstill and Martha Sharp, and Catherine Vakar Chvany, a woman who was rescued by the Sharps as a child.

4. Domenica Ruta - With or Without You: Domenica "Nikki" Ruta tells us of her brutal childhood in Danvers, raised by her cultured, intelligent yet self-absorbed addict mother. A love/hate relationship from the start, Nikki deals with her mother's neglect by finding solace in words.
5. Booksmith Book Club: The book group meets at 7:30 pm on the second Monday of each month in the downstairs Writers' and Readers' Room.
