Once inside, police said, he would enter back rooms where employees stored their purses and wallets, stealing cash and credit cards.In Brookline alone, the string of theft has been ongoing since Dec. 20, striking multiple locations on Harvard Street and Beacon Street.Once word spread about the scam, however, police say an alert Coolidge Corner employee on Wednesday alerted police when the suspect arrived.
