BROOKLINE, MA — The leaves are changing, the weather is cooling down, and Halloween is right around the corner, which means trick or treat, spook walks, scary movies, costume contests, bar crawls, and more.

Halloween Movie Marathon

The Coolidge Corner Theatre its 21st Halloween Movie Marathon starting Saturday, Oct. 29 at 11:59 p.m. This year’s movies include "London After Midnight (Reconstructed,” "Dracula (1931),” and “Fright Night (1985).” There will also be a costume contest after the first film. A special Halloween presentation of this Swedish silent film from 1922 at the Scandinavian Cultural Center in Newton on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. Get your tickets here.

Fenway Fright Night Halloween Bar Crawl

Fright Night Halloween Pub Crawl in Fenway is one of the biggest events of the season. Participants can get free entry into only the best bars with special drink offerings. The crawl begins on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 3 p.m. and goes until Sunday, Oct. 23 at 3 a.m. For tickets, click here.

Knight Moves Halloween Party

Knight Moves Café’s 1st Annual Halloween Party is officially on! Break out your best costume and get ready for a fun-filled evening complete with games, contests, treats, prizes, and more. A ticket includes entry into the costume contest with a chance to win a fabulous prize, food and beverage, one raffle ticket for a chance to win more prizes, group games, Halloween-themed free play, and a goodie bag filled with tricks and treats. West Suburban YMCA’s Annual Fall Fest

West Suburban YMCA’s Annual Fall Fest will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 2-4 p.m. The event is free and open to all and will include a petting zoo, refreshments, arts & crafts, games, entertainment, and more. Costumes are encouraged. For more info, click here.

Halloween at Coletti-Magni Park

On Sat. Oct. 29, Coletti-Magni Park will be transformed into a pumpkin patch, complete with live music, a master pumpkin carver, pumpkin decorating for kids, an apple press to make homemade apple cider, and an evening, candlelit jack-o-lantern walk. Spooky Story Time

Hummingbird Books in Chestnut Hill will be hosting a Spooky Story Time on Sunday, Oct. 23 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. All ages are welcome. For more information, click here.

This Faneuil Hall Halloween event by PubCrawls.com will be held on Monday, Oct. 31 starting at 5 p.m. and will run through Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 2 a.m. Get your tickets here.

CareOne Trunk Or Treat

CareOne nursing home in Newton is hosting Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 1-3 p.m. The staff members at CareOne are decorating their vehicles in haunting fashion and kids can collect candy from the team members, as well as decorate their own pumpkins. Other activities include a hayride, face painting, and games. More info here.

Frightful Fridays

Gore Place in Waltham is hosting Frightful Fridays on Oct. 21 and 28 at 6:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. The 45-minute program features five spooky stories, but nothing too scary, and is suitable for both adults and children ages 6 and up. The event takes place outdoors under the spacious Century Tent. Tables and chairs will be provided and there is ample free parking. For tickets, click here.
