BROOKLINE, MA – A new hair salon is coming to Brookline’s Washington Square neighborhood.
Petaloúda by Alexandra, located at 1646 Beacon St., is currently being renovated to accommodate a full service hair salon, according to Building Department records.
The commercial site was formerly a dry cleaning business, Beacon Cleaners.

A building permit was issued in March to add water stations, partitions, a breakroom, and cabinetry to the space.
The first floor is set to feature four shampoo bowls, three utility sinks, and a kitchen, according to a commercial plumbing permit document. In addition, the first floor will feature an open area with a reception desk, office, and break room, with storage in the basement.

Callon Walker, a realtor at Compass, said the salon should be up and running in the next couple of weeks, as the owner is eager to jumpstart her business as soon as possible.
