Planning on Walking to Watch the Boston Marathon, Brookline? Here's What You Need to Know

The event will be on Monday, April 20.

The city is buzzing about the Boston Marathon, as the annual event is coming up on Monday, April 20, 2015.

The Brookline Police Department sent out a map on Twitter to remind spectators of the running route.

Beacon Street (eastbound) will be closed from 8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. on April 20.

Foot traffic will be allowed at the following locations:

  • Tappan Street
  • Webster Street
  • Hawes Street

No crossing will be allowed between 11:45 a.m. and 4 p.m. due to the amount of runners expected to pass through the locations.
