Rep. Tommy Vitolo Endorsed By Environmental League Of MA Action Fund

BROOKLINE, MA — The Environmental League of Massachusetts (ELM) Action Fund has endorsed Rep. Tommy Vitolo in the election for 15th Norfolk District State Representative.

The organization cited Vitolo’s proven track record of leadership on environmental protection and climate action and said that, with the issues of public health, environmental justice, transportation, and energy policy inextricably linked, the state needs leaders at every level of government who understand pressing issues and will call for ambitious action.

“Representative Vitolo has been a strong ally at the State House,” Casey Bowers, Executive Director of the ELM Action Fund, said in a statement. “His nuanced understanding of energy policy and passion for environmental protection makes him an invaluable voice in the Legislature on climate issues.”

Vitolo has a long history in environmental advocacy. Prior to his election as Brookline’s State Representative in 2019, he worked for Synapse Energy Economics, a consulting firm specializing in electrical energy and environmental topics.

In the State House, he has worked to improve recycling, protect wildlife, and prevent the use and disposal of various harmful chemicals. He is running for reelection on a platform that includes decarbonizing buildings, funding mass transit, and supporting renewable energy.
