Roxbury Man Accused Of Wielding Machete: Boston Police

BROOKLINE, MA – A man has been arrested after swinging a machete in downtown Boston, Boston police said.
Herve Masini, 29, of Roxbury was arrested around 8:57 p.m. on Tuesday by Boston police officers downtown.
Officers responded to the intersection of Tremont Street and Winter Street for a man “violently swinging what appeared to be a machete,” police said in a statement over Facebook.

The man complied with police when asked to drop the weapon.
Officers quickly de-escalated the situation and placed the suspect into handcuffs. Upon a search, officers recovered a machete with a 10.75-inch blade and an 8-inch grip.

Masini was arrested and charged with unlawfully carrying a dangerous weapon, and disorderly conduct. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
