Search Underway After Bank Robbery Near Brookline/Boston Line
Police said a Citizens Bank location off VFW Parkway was robbed on Tuesday.
BROOKLINE, MA — A bank robbery near the Brookline/Boston line drew a response from state and local authorities Tuesday, according to an announcement from Brookline Police.
Police said someone robbed a Citizens Bank location at 673 VFW Pkwy. in Boston.
Brookline Police described a suspect in the case as a thin male standing approximately 5’8”, wearing dark clothing and a ski mask.

Police said they were working with Boston and State Police personnel as of 11:53 a.m. to locate the suspect.
A Boston Police spokesperson contacted Tuesday afternoon told Patch that reports of a bank robbery came in to police around 11:20 a.m.

The spokesperson said no further information was available regarding arrests and the status of this investigation.
VFW Parkway briefly intersects with Brookline before passing back into Boston. The Citizens Bank location in the area sits within a larger plaza alongside a handful of other businesses.
