More Severe Green Line Delays: MBTA
The MBTA sent out an alert around 2 p.m., and then a second delay alert around 4:30 p.m. Those are mostly remedied, as of about 4:45 p.m.

Update: MBTA issued an "all clear" at about 4 p.m. for the first alert, below. A second alert for delays due to a disabled train at Newton Highlands went out around 4:30 p.m. As of about 4:45 p.m., only "minor delays" persist, according to the MBTA.
NEWTON, MA — The Mass. Bay Transit Authority reported serious delays on the Green Line D Thursday afternoon.
A fallen tree is on the overhead wires at the Newton Centre stop, the MBTA said in an alert.

As freezing gusts of wind descend on the city, they're creating problems already, impacting Green Line stops in Newton and Brookline.
