Shuttle Buses Replacing Parts of Green Line

Plan your travel accordingly.

BROOKLINE, MA — Starting Tuesday, buses will be replacing parts of the Green Line for several days, impacting stops in Brookline and Newton.

According to the Mass. Bay Transit Authority, Green Line D service between Newton Highlands and Reservoir Stations will be impacted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on December 6-8 and 12-15.

Per MBTA, due to tree removal work in preparation for winter, shuttle buses will replace trains on the following dates:

Affected stops:

  • Reservoir
  • Chestnut Hill
  • Newton Centre
  • Newton Highlands

Regular service will resume each day at 3 p.m., in time for the evening commute. All stops remain accessible for persons with disabilities.
