Police Logs: House Egged, Mailbox Struck by Vehicle and Shoplifter Summonsed

Burlington Police Department logs for Feb. 24 to 25.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Feb. 24

  • At 2:12 a.m. a Farms Drive caller reported their vehicle was struck in a hit and run accident.
  • At 12:01 p.m. a Upland Road caller reported suspicious activity. Caller said his house was egged and that there were high school aged kids driving around in a loud car during the time of the egging the night before.
  • At 3:41 p.m. a caller reported that his credit card was possibly used by an unauthorized party.
  • At 7:49 p.m. a Upland Road caller reported her mailbox and a bolder in her yard had been hit by a car.

Feb. 25

  • At 9:42 a.m. a caller on Middlesex Turnpike reported hitting a very big pothole that gave their vehicle two flat tires. DPW fixed the hole.
  • At 12:25 a.m. a caller at We Haul It All reported a door was stolen off of a Bobcat.
  • At 1:22 p.m. police issued a summons to a Chelmsford woman on a charge of shoplifting $100+ by asportation. Summons issued following a shoplifting complaint by Best Buy.
  • At 1:31 p.m. a person came to the station to report their Amazon credit card had a fraudulent charge of $1.99.
  • At 4:12 p.m. a Beacon Village caller reported there was a small scrape on the driver side door of his motor vehicle. Caller said the damage occurred within the past couple of days.
