8 Children Hospitalized For Seizure-Like Symptoms During Performance At Cambridge Church

CAMBRIDGE, MA — Eight children were transported to the hospital after exhibiting seizure-like symptoms at Saint Paul Parish,according to a report from MassLive.

Firefighters responded to the church on Mt. Auburn Street at approximately 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night to assist the children between the ages of 11 and 13. More than 70 people were gathered at the church for a performance by Paris-based youth choir Chœur d’Enfants d’Île-de-France.

The fire department’s Hazmart team completed a “thorough survey” of the St. Paul buildings, using several air sampling meters. Results were negative for any hazardous conditions and the buildings were ventilated.
