CAMBRIDGE, MA — The Charles River Transportation Management Association announced an expansion for its EZRide’s bus services, which connects North Station to Cambridgeport via Lechmere and Kendall Square.

The service now operates seven days a week, throughout the entire business day, with the goal of being more accessible and flexible for commuters.

“We’re morphing into a circulator service that people can access throughout the day
to get where they need to go along this transit-rich corridor,” Executive Director of CRTMA Jim Gascoigne said. “The idea is to create a more complete, more frequent, and more reliable bus service by working together.”

The Association named the Kendall Square Transit Enhancement Program, Cambridgeside, and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation’s grant program as organizations that helped them accomplish their goal.

A formal ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the service earlier this month, with Mayor E. Denise Simmons and others in attendance.
