CAMBRIDGE, MA — The Old Cambridge Baptist Church has announced the anointing of its newest leader.

Reverend Sarah Lusche becomes the Massachusetts Avenue church’s 16th senior minister. The church, founded in 1844, described itself as an inclusive and progressive Christian community.
According to the church, Lusche’s objectives as senior minister include a focus on anti-racism and cultivating space for those in generations X, Y, and Z.

“It is a challenging and significant time for the church at large, as we navigate uncertain and turbulent waters,” Lusche said. “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve OCBC's mission of justice, hospitality, and peace, and excited to grow in community and love."
