
CAMBRIDGE, MA — The Cambridge Fire Department and Cambridge Firefighters Local 30 IAFF are collecting toys as part of the 69th annual Toys for Tots campaign.
New, unwrapped toys may be dropped off at any Cambridge Fire Station through Thurs., Dec. 8. Monetary donations can also be made via the Toys-For-Tots website, here.
The program, through the United States Marine Corps Reserve, started in Los Angeles, California, in 1947. Since its inception, over 237,000,000 needy children throughout the United States have benefited from the donation of over 512,000,000 toys, according to a CFD press release.
