Cambridge Police Investigating 2 Motor Vehicle Crashes

CAMBRIDGE, MA — Two motor vehicle crashes that took place within hours of each other last week are being investigated, the police department announced.

One vehicle struck several others just before the intersection of Mount Auburn Street on Thursday, Oct. 9. Later that same day, a construction vehicle hit a street light pole in Central Square, causing it to fall on a passing car. According to police, no serious injuries have been reported from either incident, and both scenes were closed for a period of time after they occurred. The department also received assistance from the fire department and EMS in response to the accidents.
