Driver Killed In Crash Near Harvard Square
Cambridge police said a man was killed and another man was seriously injured after a crash

CAMBRIDGE, MA — One man was killed and another man was left in serious condition after a crash early Thursday on Massachusetts Avenue near Harvard Square. Police said the driver, in his 20s or 30s, crashed through a fence and hit a tree just before 4 a.m. in the 1200 block of Massachusetts Avenue.
The driver was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The passenger, also in his 20s or 30s, was hospitalized with serious injuries, police said.
Masschusetts Avenue was closed at Bow Street coming into Harvard Square until around 7 a.m. Cambridge police, Harvard University police and Massachusetts State Police were investigating.
