Mount Auburn Hospital Awards $84,000 in Community Grants

Funds will benefit five local nonprofit organizations

Cambridge, Mass. – As part of its long-standing commitment to the health of the residents of Cambridge and the surrounding community, Mount Auburn Hospital has awarded $84,000 in grants to five non-profit organizations.

The grants are part of Mount Auburn’s Community Benefits Program and are intended to support programs that address community health priorities and meaningfully impact populations and community members within the Mount Auburn service area.

“We are committed to the health and well-bring of residents of Cambridge and surrounding towns,” said Ed Huang, MD, president, Mount Auburn Hospital. “We are proud to support our community partners in their efforts and to put our resources behind their work to have a greater impact on the communities we serve.”

Mount Auburn has awarded $20,000 grants to the following three organizations:

  • Adolescent Consultation Services (ACS): Cambridge and Waltham – Mental Health Services for Teens
  • De Novo Center for Healing and Justice: Cambridge and Somerville - Culturally-Informed Psychological Counseling for Low-Resourced People
  • Lamplight Women’s Literacy Center: Arlington – Healthcare Careers Pathway

Mount Auburn Hospital has awarded $12,000 grants to the following two organizations:

  • Waltham Fields Community Farm: Waltham - Produce Prescription Program
  • Community Day Center of Waltham: Waltham - Addressing Substance Use in the Homeless Community
