CAMBRIDGE, MA — The MBTA announced two upcoming closures in which shuttle buses will replace train service.

Service between the Read Line stations of Kendall/MIT and JFK/UMass stations will be shut down from Thursday, July 10 through Sunday, July 13 and Thursday, July 17 through Sunday, July 20 respectively. The closure will allow for planned maintenance to the infrastructure. Shuttle buses will make stops at Haymarket and State Street stops to provide riders with connections to the Orange, Green, and Blue Lines.

The MBTA emphasized to its riders that the shuttles will impact traffic and create somewhat longer commute times.
