Red Line Delays After Train With Broken A/C Taken Out Of Service
The good news? The train with the broken A/C was taken out of service. The bad? Watch out for delays on the Red line.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — Watch out on your commute home, folks. There are delays of up to 10 minutes due to a train with an A/C malfunction at Alewife. At least that train has been taken out of service, though. So the trains that are coming should have Air Conditioning, according to the MBTA.
It’s over 90 degrees and the @MBTA still can’t seem to turn on the AC for the red line. Ridiculous.

@MBTA There’s no AC in red line car 1635. It’s already stifling and it’s half empty. Just a heads up since the heat index will be 100 today.

@MBTA please turn the AC on in red line car 01859 ASAP! No air circulating.

This is a commuter update.
