Boston Police Officer Died In Front Of Canton Home Saturday
Early Saturday morning during the blizzard, Boston Police Officer John O'Keefe died in front of a Fairview Road residence.

CANTON, MA - Boston police have confirmed the name of the officer who died after being found outside of a Canton home early Saturday morning during the blizzard.
"It is with deep regret that Superintendent-in-Chief Gregory Long announces the passing of active-duty Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe," according to a statement released by Boston police. "Officer O’Keefe was a 16-year veteran of the BPD who served admirably in several assignments during his career. John will be greatly missed by his friends and colleagues here at the Boston Police Department as we send our heartfelt condolences to his family, and loved ones during this difficult time."
Police confirmed to 7NEWS that O’Keefe is the man who was found outside a residence on Fairview Road in Canton. This report noted that O’Keefe was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office.

NBC Boston 10 confirmed that O'Keefe was found early Saturday morning during the blizzard. He knew the residents of the house where he was found, the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office confirmed.
The Saturday blizzard dumped 21 inches of snow in Canton, according to NBC Boston 10.
