Canton Town Planner To Resign

Tim Richard will be leaving Canton after one year on the job.

Canton is now on the lookout for a new Town Planner.

Town Planner Tim Richard is resigning from his position after one year on the job, Wicked Local is reporting.

“Serving the Town of Canton has been a great experience that I have enjoyed and my decision to leave is for personal reasons not related to my current position,” Richard said.

Richard will cut down on his hours starting Jan. 29, but will continue working on projects until a replacement is found.

He will help train and bring the candidate up to speed once a replacement is found.

Some of the projects Richard has been involved with during his time as Town Planner include the Reservoir Pond Study, LED Streetlight Conversion, Zoning Bylaw Amendments, a walking trail project at Forge Pond, and work on traffic-related issues with the Blue Ribbon Traffic Committee.
