Canton Teen Dies After Car Crashes Into Home
The teen was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

A Canton teenager has died after his car crashed into a home Friday night.
Canton Police say at approximately 6:10 p.m. Friday night, they received a call about a motor vehicle accident on Chapel Street. When officials arrived on the scene, they discovered a serious single car accident involving a 2006 Jeep Commander and a sole occupant of the car.

Officials say based on preliminary information, it appears the operator was partially ejected from the vehicle and as a result, suffered serious injuries. He was transported to a local area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Canton Police officers, in conjunction with members of the Massachusetts State Police reconstruction team, are investigating the incident.

The victim was identified as Paul O’Brien, 16, of Canton. Canton Police School Resource Officers, grief counselors and school staff are on hand at Canton High School to support the student body.
The family requests that students not go their residence and police ask that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.
