5 Things: Emerson-Thoreau Amble to Open Today

A quick look at what you need to see, do and know on June 14 in Concord.

1. Emerson-Thoreau Amble Opens: At 3 p.m., there will be a ceremony celebrating the official opening of the Emerson-Thoreau Amble at Heywood Meadow on Lexington Road. The amble is new trail that runs from Heywood Meadow through the Hapgood Wright Town Forest and on to Walden Pond.

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, there are no public meetings posted for today ... other than the amble's opening ceremony.

3. Toddler Singalong with Ed Morgan: At 10 a.m. at the Fowler Branch Library in West Concord.
