• House points light at dark money in local politics (recorder.com) — A statewide bill co-sponsored by Rep. Simon Cataldo of Concord would force anyone spending $1,000 or more to sway Town Meeting warrant articles to publicly disclose their donors and expenditures. While driven by Cape Cod examples, the proposal would apply to Concord’s Town Meeting too, tightening transparency around money behind campaigns on zoning, housing, and other local issues. 
• Signs of growth for Braintree boys basketball shows with in-season tournament victory (masslive.com) — Braintree’s boys basketball team picked up a confidence-boosting win at Concord-Carlisle High, capturing the Adams Holiday Tournament with a 65-48 victory over Belmont. Senior Ethan Ellie earned MVP honors, while several teammates contributed key scoring bursts as coach David Wall emphasized learning how to sustain intensity and use this Concord performance as a springboard for continued growth.
