The Patriots repeated as Division 2 state champions in girls team tennis.

The Concord-Carlisle High School varsity girls tennis team has repeated as state champions after topping Hingham in the Division 2 finals on Saturday afternoon in Lexington.
It was the second-straight state championship title and second-straight undefeated season for the Patriots, who finished 18-0 after rolling through the Dual County League and defeating Hingham by a score of 3-2 in the championship round.
According to the Lowell Sun, CC got wins in No. 2 and No. 3 singles from sophomore Bella Stone (6-2, 6-2) freshman Meredith Block (6-0, 6-1), respectively. The other win was from the No. 2 doubles duo of Sophie Hibben and Hailey Hoffman (6-4, 6-4), the Sun reported.

"It was really exciting. Hingham is such a great team, and a very powerful team," Concord-Carlisle Coach Bob Furey reportedly told the Sun. "The reason I think we won is because we have depth that I don't believe they have."
