Concord Coronavirus: Annual Town Meeting Moved To June

This is the second time the Annual Town Meeting is being postponed from its original date in April.

CONCORD, MA — Concord postponed its Annual Town Meeting again, citing concerns of possibly spreading the coronavirus. The meeting was supposed to be held on April 27 but was moved back to May 29 due to coronavirus concerns. The town announced on Tuesday the meeting would be postponed to June 29.

The meeting is set to start at 5 p.m. on June 29, two hours earlier than usual in order to take advantage of daylight hours in the event it is advisable to hold the meeting outdoors. The town said it will take advantage of additional thirty-day recess and continuances as necessary to protect public health.

Concord's Annual Town Meeting Warrant has 54 articles in it including the FY20 budget adjustment, the Concord Public Schools budget and over five petitions submitted by residents.
