Details on Concord’s Outdoor Water Use Restriction

Heat wave plus lack of precipitation equals water use restriction.

As the heat keeps coming the hits, too, keep coming.

On Thursday, June 18, the town of Concord announced an outdoor water use restriction. That move comes several days into a heat wave that could last through Saturday.

According to the announcement, the extended period of extreme heat—a term typically used to describe a string of days with temperatures in the 90s or higher—concurrent with a lack of precipitation, customer demand has reached the limits of the town’s available water supply. Which leads to the water use restriction.
