5 Things You Need to Know Today, Feb. 21

Your daily guide to the community events and happenings in Danvers.

Welcome to 5 Things, your daily resource for community events, happenings in town, and little tidbits of information. Here are five things you need to know today, Feb. 21, in Danvers:

1. Today's Five Things Photo, submitted by Cakes for Occasions. "The bakery may have been closed for renovations on Monday, but that didn't stop owner Kelly Delaney's daughters, Sarah, left, and Holly, far right, along with their friend Emma O'Rourke, from doing their part to pitch in for hungry walkers-by. The trio were selling girls scout cookies outside the bakery and enjoying the sunny weather. The bakery is again open for business."

2. This morning North Shore Community College is featuring a Liturgical Dance Performance, free and open to the public, in celebration of Black History Month. Liturgical Dance provides the opportunity for individual and group participation of any age and ability to do this through song, visual art, music and/or drama. Join in at 10:30 a.m. at the Campus Cafe.
