Arrest Made in Danvers Stabbing
An Essex man faces charges for the incident on Hemlock Street on Sunday afternoon.

Danvers, MA - An Essex Man was arrested in connection with a stabbing on Hemlock Street that took place on Sunday afternoon.
Police officials believe that there was a connection between the suspect and the victim and that it was not a random act of violence.
Cameron Dandrea of 7 Sumac Drive in Essex is expected to be arraigned today on charges related to the incident.

Danvers Police responded to a report of a stabbing outside 1 Hemlock street shortly after 4 p.m. on Sunday.
There were reports that the suspect in the stabbing fled the scene in a red Nissan.

Officers located the suspect's vehicle on Route 62 at Conifer Hill Drive, where it was stopped and Dandrea was arrested.
The victim was treated by Danvers officers at the scene and then taken to Beverly Hospital. The victim's name has not been released by Danvers police.
"All the officers involved did an exceptional job in quickly apprehending a dangerous suspect and for providing the medical assistance needed for the victim," said Danvers Police Chief Patrick Ambrose in a statement. "The investigation is ongoing by this is not a random act of violence, there is a connection between the suspect and the victim."
