• Central Catholic Places 1st, Shawsheen Tech 2nd, And St. John’s Prep 3rd At History Wrestling Tourney (patch.com) — Danvers sports fans can celebrate St. John’s Prep earning a strong third-place finish at the prestigious George Bossi Lowell Holiday wrestling tournament, featuring more than 80 schools and over 1,450 bouts. The two-day event in Lowell showcased both boys and girls brackets, with Central Catholic and Shawsheen Tech taking the top two spots overall.
   

• Roundup: Saugus protects home court against Boston United (itemlive.com) — North Shore high school teams logged a busy slate, with Swampscott girls set to face Essex Tech in the first round of the Danvers Holiday Tournament on Monday at 10 a.m. Peabody’s girls stayed unbeaten, Marblehead hoops extended its streak, and several other area teams turned in standout performances across basketball, hockey, and swimming.
