Bring Your Halloween Pumpkins To Danvers Town Hall

The pumpkin composting event is for all whole and carved pumpkins on Nov. 6.

Instead of heading to a landfill as trash, the pumpkins will be turned into nutrient-rich compost, which can be used in local gardens.

DANVERS, MA — Danvers residents are invited to bring their sagging and soggy Halloween pumpkins to the town's Pumpkin Collection Event as a way to recycle them and keep the organic waste out of landfills.

Black Earth Composting will host the event at Danvers Town Hall from 3 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 6.

Carved and whole pumpkins are welcome. Those bringing pumpkins are asked to remove all candles or decorations from the gourds.
