• 70-year-old furniture chain, Circle Furniture, abruptly closes, no bankruptcy (miamiherald.com) — Circle Furniture, a longtime New England retailer that once operated a store in Danvers, has abruptly closed all eight locations in Massachusetts and New Hampshire just before Christmas, laying off about 65 workers. The family-owned chain, founded in Cambridge in the 1950s, gave employees only days of notice and filed no WARN Act notice, raising questions about potential back pay claims and legal options for affected staff.
   

• 70-year-old furniture chain abruptly closes, no bankruptcy (thestreet.com) — Circle Furniture, which once expanded with a store in Danvers, has suddenly closed all its Massachusetts and New Hampshire locations just before Christmas, leaving about 65 employees jobless.
