Wednesday, Jan. 4
- Rene Kerr, 40, of 5 Black Rock Rd., in Melrose, was arrested at 6:56 p.m. on charges of shoplifting from .
- At 9:49 p.m. police received notice of suspicious activity on Clinton Avenue. The caller saw a group of kids go into the woods. Police located the kids and they were spoken to.

- A brief case was reported taken from a vehicle parked at at 11:14 a.m.
- A vehicle was reported broken into at the former at 11:32 a.m.
- A fight between two females was reported at the at 1:12 p.m.
- A verbal argument on Hobart Street resulted in a 57-year-old man being placed in protective custody.
Friday, Jan. 6
- At 1:45 a.m. police arrested Thomas Templeton, 37, of 12211 Bay Dr., at his residence on charges of domestic assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon.
- Police were dispatched to at 7:37 a.m. on report of a child, about 5 or 6 years old, who was left unattended. Police did not locate the child in question.
