Danvers Baseball Standout To Play For North Shore Navigators This Summer
The former St. John's Prep star will suit up for the New England Collegiate Baseball League in Lynn.

DANVERS, MA — A former St. John's Prep baseball star from Danvers will suit up for a North Shore team this summer as D.J. Pacheco is set to make his debut with the Navigators of the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
Pacheco recently completed his sophomore year at the University of Richmond. He made the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team in 2022 after hitting .290 with 12 extra-base hits, 27 RBI and 36 runs scored in 2022. This season, he played in 16 games with seven hits and two doubles.
A three-year starter and former team captain at St. John's, Pacheco helped the Eagles to a Division 1 North title and earned Catholic Conference All-Star honors.

Pacheco was one of three players with Massachusetts connections that the Lynn-based Navigators said on Friday will play for them this summer — joining Merrimack catcher and Austin Prep alum Matt Chatelle, and Holy Cross infielder and Arlington High alum Brendan Jones.
The Navigators kick off their 16th summer of collegiate baseball on June 7 and will host their home opener at a renovated Fraser Field on Friday.
