Danvers Box Truck Crash Closes Route 1 Off-Ramp Cleared

DANVERS, MA — North Shore residents and workers traveling Route 1 northbound into Danvers needed some extra time and patience Thursday morning after an off-ramp was closed for about two hours because of a box truck crash.

The state Department of Transportation said the ramp to Route 62 westbound in Danvers was closed as of 11:30 a.m.

Emergency services reports said that the box truck was on its side late in the morning.

MassDOT updated at about 1:30 p.m. that the crash was cleared and the off-ramp reopened.
