Danvers Business To Receive $81k From State Grant

Danvers' Cell Signaling Technology Inc. is one of 183 businesses in Massachusetts to receive a Workforce Training grant.

Danvers' Cell Signaling Technology Inc., located at 3 Trask Lane, was one of 183 businesses in the Commonwealth to receive Workforce Training Fund grant money, announced by the Patrick-Murray administration in December. 

Cell Signaling Technology Inc. will receive $81,425 of the $11 million funded.

The grants will support up to two years of training according to a state press release published by the North Shore Chamber of Commerce blog. According to the state, the grants will create about 1,700 new jobs and train 13,000 workers.

Cell Signaling Technology Inc. provides innovative research tools that are used to help define mechanisms underlying cell function and disease. Their mission is to deliver the world's highest quality research tools that accelerate progress in biological research and personalized medicine.

“Our Administration works with companies through the Workforce Training Fund to provide their employees with essential job skills to cultivate a more effective workplace,” said Lieutenant Governor Timothy Murray. “With this training, companies create greater efficiencies in doing business, leading to more opportunities for new jobs, increased work capacity and business growth.”
