Danvers CVS Pharmacy Robbed At Gunpoint: Police

Police said the man robbed the CVS on Maple Street of prescription drugs early Wednesday night.

DANVERS, MA — Danvers police are seeking the public's help following the robbery at gunpoint of the CVS Pharmacy on Maple Street early Wednesday night.

Police said the man entered the drugstore at about 5:15 p.m. and pointed a gun at the pharmacists while demanding numerous prescription drugs. Police said he then left the store on foot toward the area of Conant Street and Berry Street.

A search of the area was conducted with the assistance of the Essex County Sheriff's Department's K-9 unit but the police did not indicate anyone was in custody as of late Thursday afternoon.

The man is described as white and tall with a thin build and dark-colored hair. He was wearing a black face mask, dark-colored jacket tan pants, sunglasses and black shoes at the time of the accused robbery.

Police said no workers or customers were physically harmed during the incident.
